Uggla wants to go back to All-Star Game

One would think that after his nightmarish performance in last year’s All-Star Game that Marlins Get your Marlins Tickets now! second baseman Dan Uggla wouldn’t mind passing on this year’s midsummer classic.
Think again. “Are you kidding me? I want to be there every year,” said Uggla, who committed three errors, fanned three times and hit into a double play while stranding six runners in the AL’s 4-3 15-inning victory. “Just because what happened in last year’s All-Star Game doesn’t make any difference. I played hard. It just wasn’t my night. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. “It’s a great experience. The memories that I’ll be able to take with me…” Uggla, who is batting .224 with 15 homers and 45 RBI is a distant fifth in the fan voting which ends on Thursday, so it’s unlikely he will be a third-time All-Star.
